Alternate route to Woods’ event

tiger1204.jpgThe ninth annual Target World Challenge golf tournament, hosted by Tiger Woods, starts Dec. 13 at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks — which might as well be Oregon if you live in Orange County.

You’re certainly welcome to brave the traffic. If not, you can watch the first two rounds on the Golf Channel.

The Golf Channel will broadcast first- and second-round coverage at noon Pacific Time on Thursday and Friday of next week. The opening rounds will re-air at 6 p.m.

KNBC/4 will have weekend coverage of the event, starting at noon Saturday and Sunday.
